I’m mostly annoyed about this because of the people defending him since somehow, because hes a white British actor who had a role queerbaiting with another white british actor, hes allowed to be a complete and utter twat professionally and publicly because he’s british and his “british sense of humour” is calling women krill and dogs, muslims terrorists and gay people sneaky poofs.

That doesn’t mean you have to stop liking Martin Freeman?? He doesn’t have to stop being your favourite actor, Sherlock/The Hobbit doesnt have to stop being your favourite thing? My opinion of him hasn’t changed in the slightest (mostly because I dont care about celebrities at all), yours doesn’t either. You don’t have to really give a rats ass?

But just realise for gods sake that he called a woman an ugly dog in a professional interview for absolutely no reason other than he thinks he’s funny, and has made racist and sexist and homophobic jokes before. Is it so hard to realise and understand that? What’s so difficult about saying, “yes my favourite actor was very much out of line with that comment and very rude, but because of his acting skills he will continue to be my favourite actor”?

You don’t have to justify somebody’s behaviour if it’s childish.
