Joss Whedon (writer, director, creator, God) has officially signed on to write and direct the sequel to this year’s The Avengers. Typically Marvel doesn’t keep around the same director twice, but they figured that after the huge success that was The Avengers, why not give it a shot?
Whedon is also set to develop a live-action Marvel-themed TV show for ABC. This would be the first time Whedon has returned to TV since 2009’s Dollhouse. Both Avengers 2 and the TV series details are under-wraps so let the speculation begin!
